Concord Baptist Church has been in existence since 1824. The church was started with a heart for local missions and that focus continues. CBC is composed of people who love and follow Jesus, Christ. They love each other and desire to share that love with others. All are welcome at CBC. We have a place for you. CBC teaches and preaches the Word of God. We make every effort to live according with what the Bible teaches. Where ever you may live in Mecklenburg County, VA, you would find CBC to be worth the drive.

Bible Study on select Scripture, Topics and Themes

September 5 through November 14 @ 6:30PM in the Sanctuary

Come to any or all. Each Tuesday evening study will stand on its own.

Our Pastor -- Rev. Joe McDowell

Joe's heart desire is to see people grow in their relationship with Christ. Joe seeks to preach and teach in a way that provides practical understanding of God's Word. In addition to preaching, teaching and leading CBC, Joe coaches individuals and married couples. Joe is a certified Christian coach. Three concepts that drive Joe's ministry are: Authenticity, Connection, and Wholeness.

Joe has been married to his high school sweetheart, Brenda, for 46 years. Joe and Brenda have two daughters and nine grand children. Joe enjoys spending time with family and especially lake activities.

One of Joe's favorite Bible verses is: "Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us" Ephesians 3:20
